I went on photoshop for the first time in forever today, and spent an hour or so messing around. I'm actually kinda happy with the results of this, though I'm not sure if I'm finished with it. Thoughts? Also, constructive criticism is very welcome.

EDIT: Changed the hair and the eyes around a bit, as per suggestions. :)

Thanks! I had a hard time trying to do it: I just no clue how. It took a bit of fiddling to make it work.

I think you should get rid of the hair totally. Keep the hair line and just blend the fire into that so it looks like her hair /is/ fire, not just on fire. Also, I think her eyes could use some serious orange glow. Otherwise, I like very muchly. The background works well and the fire is well done. ^^

The base of the flames really appears to stem from the head - it looks totally hot. Pun intended. :)

I love the picture! The whole thing looks like it will burn right off the screen. The only thing that bothers me is the eyes. To me they look like they are flat. Or maybe nonexistant, like one is looking through the skull at hair on the back of the head. Perhaps you made them too flame-like, with not enough definition to the pupils. Or maybe you just need to make both pupils the same shape. More like the cats eye side.
